  • Live in Davidson or Rutherford County area.

  • Are a single mother or widowed parent.

  • Are the parent or legal guardian of one or more minor children.

  • Are experiencing financial hardship, instability, or a recent crisis.

  • Are willing to provide basic documentation to help us understand your situation.

Meeting these guidelines does not guarantee assistance, but it helps us steward our resources responsibly and serve families with the greatest need.

How the Application Process Works:

1. Submit the Application

Complete our simple online application with basic information about you and your family. This helps us understand your needs and determine eligibility.

  • About 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

2. Application Review

Our team reviews applications during our scheduled review periods.

3. Approval Notification

If approved, you will receive a confirmation by text or email with next steps.

4. Ongoing Support

Approval opens the door to continued support through our programs, including resource boxes, experiences, and spiritual encouragement.

What We Ask For and Why:

We are committed to serving families experiencing real hardship while honoring dignity, privacy, and trust. The information below helps us ensure our resources reach those who need them most.

Basic Information Required

To complete your application, we ask for the following:

  • Photo identification for the applicant.

  • Birth certificates for minor children.

  • Proof of income from the last 30 days. (pay stubs or equivalent)

  • Lease agreement or mortgage statement.

  • Applicant name, date of birth, and last four digits of their Social Security number.

  • Names of other adults living in the household.

  • List of children in the household. (name, age, and relationship)

Proof of Need:

Families experience hardship in many different ways. Applicants may submit one or more of the following items that best reflect their current situation:

1. Financial Hardship

  • SNAP, WIC, TANF, Medicaid, or CHIP approval letter.

  • Notice of reduced work hours or job loss.

  • Recent collections notice or wage garnishment.

2. Housing instability

  • Late rent notice or past due rent ledger.

  • Eviction notice or court filing.

  • Mortgage delinquency notice.

3. Utility or essential expenses

  • Past due utility bill.

  • Utility shut off or disconnect notice.

  • Payment arrangement letter.

4. Medical or family crisis

  • Medical bill or hospital statement.

  • Doctor’s note verifying illness or hospitalization.

  • Funeral expense notice.

5. Food insecurity

  • School free or reduced lunch approval letter.

  • SNAP denial letter due to recent income change.

If documentation is limited:

  • A short written explanation of their situation.

  • A letter or note from a caseworker, school, church, or trusted community partner.
